July 2024 Growave Product Updates
July Updates
At Growave we are committed to our merchants' needs and prove it month to month. Each month we introduce a new set of updates that enhance our capabilities and improve conditions for both merchants and customers.
1. Enhanced control on reward redemption rates
This update introduces a new ability for managers to set limits for the number of times an action can be exercised by shoppers. Previously, available limites were 7 days, 30 days, and lifetime. These updates are aimed to increase flexibility and control within the rewards program.
2. “Rewards for Past Actions” feature rework completed
This update completes the rework of the “rewards for past actions” feature, which enhances both its efficiency and usability.
- Faster Processing: Rewards are now issued faster, ensuring a smoother experience.
- Activity Notes: Clear indicators now display rewards earned through past actions in the activity log.
- Improved Display: We’ve refined the visual presentation for better user experience.
3. Introducing a new default VIP tier
This new functionality ensures that users without any progress in the loyalty program are automatically assigned a default tier.
- Visibility: The default tier will be prominently displayed for guests when viewing the program.
- Automatic Assignment: Users with insufficient progress towards tier upgrades will be automatically assigned to default tiers.
- Seamless Progression: Loyalty members with the default tier will continue to progress towards higher tiers according to the upgrade criteria.
4. Points on Product Pages are now live on V2
This new widget can be implemented on checkout pages to show customers how many points they can potentially earn from their current cart. The background, text color and theme can all be customized to fit branding.
5. Dedicated Rewards Pages now live
This update marks a highly anticipated feature release which enables users to create dedicated pages for their rewards programs. Example One and Example Two
- As part of the update we’ve introduced a new sub-section in the admin panel where merchants can select a page URL and create the page.
- Default URL: yoursite.myshopify.com/pages/rewards If the page already exists it will prompt an error, which can be later fixed via the admin panel.
- The page auto-generates with Ways to Earn and Ways to Redeem blocks. Additional blocks like banners and FAQs can be added through the Shopify editor.
- Ways to Earn: Display all actions, sorted by incomplete first, then completed with a “Completed” label. Logged-in users see their points balance and expiration date.
- Ways to Redeem: Shows available rewards, starting with redeemed discounts, followed by those available for redemption with title, value, and cost.
- Both Widgets open with a popup with additional details.
6. Further improvements to filtering options for reviews
This feature promises to improve the product reviews browsing experience. Next to the “Add Review” button, you’ll now find a new “Filter Reviews” button. This feature enables users to filter product reviews based on the active custom forms active for a particular product.
7. Automatic translation for 75 languages
With this update, your store can now automatically translate values into 75 languages. This suggests that you will no longer need to manually translate content, making it easier than ever to cater to a global audience.
8. Reviews auto-publish logic changes
All new reviews will be automatically published in a maximum of 14 days. This additional setting ensures that reviews that do not meet the initial auto-publish criteria will still be published after the specified period. These changes have taken effect as of the 10th of July 2024.
Important Note: This setting cannot be disabled as it’s required by Shopify.
9. New reward type: Follows on Youtube & Tiktok
This update introduces two new reward types designed to boost YouTube and TikTok followers. With the introduction of these rewards, it’s possible to boost additional marketing channels with rewards.
10. New reviews branding features for security and control
This new addition to the reviews branding section introduces some extra control over reviews. This update allows you to customize how customer names are displayed across your review widgets. You can choose from:
- Show full name (e.g. John Smith)
- Shorten last name (e.g. John S.)
- Shorten full name (e.g. J.S.)
- Anonymous
Once this option is selected it will automatically adjust across all your reviews widgets. This will help manage user data according to preferences and privacy.
11. Two new features for the Wishlist App
Average Rating Block (V2): We’ve added an average rating block to product cards on the Wishlist page to showcase social proof and help customers make informed decisions.
New Setting - “Remove Items from Wishlist upon Purchase” (V2): When enabled, this setting automatically removes purchased products from the customer’s wishlist, keeping their list up-to-date.
12. Adjustments to the Rewards Tab
A minor change for the rewards popup: Changes to the height of the popup, improved overall elements style, and changes to some texas for better navigation and clarity.
13. VIP Tier progress bar for rewards pages
This exciting new feature delivers a more dynamic experience to your rewards page. This widget displays customer progress in your tier program and shows available tiers.
Merchants who are already using the rewards page will need to add this widget manually, while those who are creating a page from scratch will have it automatically added.
14. Referral widget for reward page
This update introduces a referral widget on rewards pages. This will showcase sender and receiver rewards, along with a referral link and sharing options.
Merchants currently using the rewards page will need to manually add this widget. While those building their rewards page from scratch will have it automatically included.
*This Rewards page is accessible from Growth plans and upwards.
15. Review request emails gain new versatility
This update allows review request emails to hold as many as 5 products at once. This reward can potentially increase the amount of reviews merchants can generate.
